Not So Happy Feet

We're continuing to have a great time at Disney World.  We have a day and a half left of our amazing New Years vacation.  *Sniffle, sniffle*  I just hate leaving Disney World.  It makes me pouty and transports me back to 4 years old in a right quick hurry.  So, I don't want to leave.  However, my feet HURT.  I mean they are killin' me something fierce.

Lord only knows how many miles we've walked this trip.  One thing for sure, is the distance from the lobby of our resort to our room is INSANE.  We're staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas.  Our travel agent set us up in what she said was one of "the best rooms to see animals."  We though 'SWEET', until we got here and kept walking and kept walking and kept walking and finally arrived at our room at the far end of the resort.  I stepped it off yesterday and the distance from the lobby to our room is 1/4 of a mile.  This means that we walk a half a mile a day just leaving and returning...and that's if we do it once.  Today, we did it twice, so that's one mile by itself.  Then you have the distance to and from buses and then all over the parks, standing in long lines, very little sitting time...OY!

My feet and legs are soar and exhausted.  I'm hoping to return home and notice that I've lost half my booty.  Ha, ha!  I wish.  Of course, if you eat any of the garbage (delicious garbage) food that they have at Disney World, the walking counteracts the calories.  Ugh...I'll probably get home and have gained weight.

At the end of the day and even with tired feet, I'm so glad I'm here and I wouldn't change anything.  This really has been magical.  Now I'm off to enjoy putting my soar tootsies up and getting some shut eye.  Last full day tomorrow and then we fly home on Monday.

Ciao!
