Living Out Worship

Question of the Day

How would you live your life differently if you viewed your job as an act of worship?
("Job" can include volunteer service, parenting, career's, blogging, etc.)
If we as Christians are to live our lives in constant worship of God, what does our behavior at work say about us?  What does the way we treat our employers, employees, co-workers, clients, customers and ourselves, say about how we are worshiping God with our minds, bodies and souls?  How might we be more intentional about worshiping God in our "at work" words and actions?

Good thoughts, and beautiful picture!! I think we would be a lot less selfish. And a lot more focused on others.

The way I act wouldn't say very good about me at all. My patience with people - especially customers at work - needs to improve drastically. I'm not mean to customers, of course not, but there are probably times where a customer can tell I am not thrilled to see them walking through the door.

That is a great - and important- question! As followers of Christ, everything we do should be worship. Good thought.

An excellent notion -- truly, every little thing we do, including laundry or grocery shopping, should be a form of worship ... caring for God's children, maintaining our own God-given bodies and lives. A good thought to start the day! Glad I found you through the Tea Party ... :)

This thought is totally in line with my thoughts from yesterday(and still today)!
I shared this verse on my post and I think it applies to this answer as well. Colossians 4:23 -“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if working for the Lord, and not for men.”
I want to do my job as a mom and wife and woman according to what HE commmands, and not anyone else. If I do that, then I am good!

So it's more than a month since you last participated in iFellowship, is it too late to say I'm following you from there? :)

Actually, I saw your button on another blog and it was so cute I followed it. Love this place. I think I'll stick around. Hope you'll come swing by my blog as well.

(and I grabbed that adorable button for myself!)

Hey! found you through Lady Bloggers. Good question..I am in full-time ministry and there are days when I treat it more like a job than an act of worship.
